ZOOM FASHION ON TREND N.32 |
Technology, research and development. These are the key words every company needs to pivot around to be in a position to face the dynamics of a constantly evolving market. We spoke about this topic with Alessia Baroni, commercial manager with Lustrosa Srl, one of the leading European sequin producers.
What are the technological tools that Lustrosa uses to be competitive on the market?
Our most prominent “technological” system is unquestionably imagination combined with creativity – always active and vivacious ingredients that are also difficult to imitate due to their originality. These features are further bolstered by our constantly updated machinery offering important customisations designed by the company owner, Graziano, for the purposes of improving quality and productivity and for pinpointing personalised solutions for satisfying any client need.
Technology moves in line with research. How important is investing for you from this standpoint?
Lustrosa invests 10% of its turnover in research and development. Always striving to discover new solutions and new product applications, the company also has constant ties with machinery manufactures that may use our articles so as to develop optimal results in synergy with our clients.
And looking to the future, what are your short and long term aims?
Our objectives are oriented towards the constant improvement of product quality, so that the Made in Italy certification has tangible worth and is not just a tag. With regard to the long – term aims, we intend to make Lustrosa know in as many countries and sectors as possible, even if the company’s 40 years experience has already taken Lustrosa to being a well – established name. Marketing research has demonstrated that there are still many sectors that we could have a border presence in. These range from the fashion field – certainly the leading one for our products – to the home sector and even footwear, also with an eye for professionals responsible for display, window dressers and interior decorators. Fashion’s leanings seem to echo our ideas and we are endlessly developing new combinations with yarns, sequins, beads and crystal details in order to always provide exciting new stimulation for our customers’ creativity. |
